2-Year Warranty
Every sofa and chair from Furniture Story is backed by a comprehensive 2-year warranty, providing you with confidence and peace of mind long after your purchase. In addition to your statutory rights as a UK consumer, this complimentary warranty is a testament to our confidence in our products.
We go above and beyond to ensure all our furniture complies with the strictest British and European standards, including fire safety regulations and general domestic use certifications.
Warranty Coverage
Every structural component of your new sofas and chairs is comprehensively covered. Specifically, the framework, joints, and springs are warranted for a full 2 years by Furniture Story. Free repairs for valid complaints will be carried out within 60 days from the date of examination (if a replaceable part is needed, that part can take 4–7 weeks to be made).
Exclusions from Warranty
The warranty does not cover the following:
- Fabric/eco-leather/natural leather becoming dirty.
- Damage caused by improper use of the furniture contrary to its intended purpose.
- Damage caused by animals.
- Furniture exposed to flooding with water or other liquids.
- Inadequate performance of recommended cleaning and maintenance procedures resulting in damage to the protective surface.
- Discoloration of upholstery fabric resulting from dye migration from clothing in contact with the fabric.
- Deformation of foam components resulting from furniture use.
- Natural fabric wrinkles that occur during normal use, inherent to the fabric's properties and foam cushioning.
- Any tears or scratches on the fabric, eco-leather, or leather.
- Pilling, shrinkage, or fading of upholstery fabrics resulting from normal wear and tear.
- Natural features inherent in materials.
Usage and Maintenance Guidelines
- Furniture must be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with the provided instructions.
- Avoid exerting pressure on armrests, standing on seats or backs, or placing excessive weight on individual spring strips. Jumping on furniture is strictly prohibited.
- Use furniture in dry, enclosed areas protected from adverse weather and direct sunlight (relative humidity 30–70%, temperature 15–25 ºC).
- Keep furniture at least 1 metre away from radiators or other heat sources.
- Before the first use, ensure that all transport protection has been removed.
Making a Claim
